Ecoppia - advanced technologies in solar energy

develops and manufactures robots for solar panels cleaning. Ecoppia has a very professional engineering department and their core development is carried out in-house. Ecoppia chose to outsource the robot’s computer design to Rogat. The product file is kept at Rogat and we built and continuing to update the Solid design of the product. We work on the product file that includes assembly blueprints, component blueprints and BOM, in compliance with the ISO 9001 standard and take care to maintain the engineering configuration accordingly

Designing a new hand treatment unit for a commercial product in clinics

The development process: EndyMed is a veteran public medical company, which sells its products around the world. Rogat provides EndyMed with design and engineering services and is responsible for the mechanical and plastic design of all the company’s products.

The development process entailed:  This project is an example of a new product development from conceptualization, model design for testing, moving from development to production, and first serial production.

Haifa University – design and development of research accessories

Requirement: Printed circuit and mechanical system connecting electrodes to a mouse brain. The development process included a PCB design and integration into a delicate, miniature and precise mechanical device. The system development was carried out in collaboration with the Haifa University and Technion laboratories. The company continues to regularly produce and deliver the product on demand.

The development process entailed: characterization of requirements, concepts, design, proofing, PCB production and assembly. Ongoing production and supply on demand.

RAFAEL – Development of a protection solutions product for experimental purposes

The requirement: Plexiglas combined with boron carbide particles.

The development process: In order to provide a solution a dedicated team was formed, which included Dr. Reuven Porat, mechanical and materials engineer, Yoav Rodan, mechatronics engineer and other partners from the industry. The process for blocks manufacturing was planned and executed while providing a response to the complex technological challenges.

Medgenics Israel Ltd. – Design of a hand held unit for tissue harvesting used in operating rooms, spinning at 6,000 RPM.

Design of a hand held unit for tissue harvesting used in operating rooms, spinning at 6,000 RPM. 

The development process entailed: characterization of requirements where it was necessary to design a clasp for a harvesting hypodermic needle with a diameter of 2.15 mm, torque and RPMs were determined as well as additional parameters. The clasp enabled a simple grip and release mechanism of the needle in a  facilitated needleless access without disconnecting from the clasp after tissue harvesting. The gear case included ball bearings and cogwheels was designed to facilitate work in operating rooms conditions, quietly and reliably.

The development process entailed: Characterization of requirements, concepts, design, production, and assembly of the model for trials.
